# Dependencies

What your server needs before installing the redesign.

## The short version

You need a working ox_inventory. The redesign replaces its interface and adds no dependencies of its own.

## A working ox_inventory

Install and set up [ox_inventory](https://github.com/overextended/ox_inventory) first, with the resources it requires:

| Resource | Why it is needed |
| --- | --- |
| [ox_inventory](https://github.com/overextended/ox_inventory) | The inventory itself. The redesign is only its interface. |
| [ox_lib](https://github.com/overextended/ox_lib) | Required by ox_inventory |
| [oxmysql](https://github.com/overextended/oxmysql) | Required by ox_inventory |

Any framework that ox_inventory supports works with the redesign: Qbox, ESX, ox_core and ND Core.

## ox_inventory version

The redesign is tested against **ox_inventory 2.47.9**. The interface and the Lua side exchange messages, so a much older or newer ox_inventory may not match.

To check yours, open `ox_inventory/fxmanifest.lua` and look for the `version` line:

```lua ox_inventory/fxmanifest.lua
version '2.47.9'
```

## Optional: Node.js

[Node.js](https://nodejs.org) 18 or later is needed only if you want to change the interface and build it again. Installing the redesign as it is does not need it, and your game server never needs it.

## What you do not need

- **Database changes.** The redesign adds no tables or columns.
- **Changes to `fxmanifest.lua`.** ox_inventory already points at the files the redesign provides.
